  1. Default Holley Sniper with 460 Ford?

Hello all, I'one thousand new to this forum. I have a few questions before I brand my buy:
    I have a 77 Cougar with a 460 in it.
Engine is: .040" over, cast crank & rods, forged pistons, high compression (D0VE) heads with port work on the exhaust side. A 220/231 @ .050 110 LSA cam, and an Edelbrock Performer intake. Transmission is a C6 with 2500 stall, and a 3.fifty rear gear. I'd guess this is good for somewhere around 450 HP. Existing fuel organisation is: Holley 770 cfm Street Avenger with electric choke, 172 GPH fuel pump, with i/ii" fuel line throughout. Also has an MSD 6AL box, Crane Pro Bend benefactor, and MSD loftier vibration gyre.

Will the Holley Sniper be sufficient plenty for this? On newspaper, information technology looks similar it is. I know the Terminator is a better kit, with more options. But it's a chip out of my price range at this time. Will the Sniper requite me a scrap meliorate fuel economic system & driveability? I plan on mounting an in-tank fuel pump at the same time. I don't intendance for the idea of mounting the a "fuel commander" in the engine bay, as I don't actually have a spot to mount it nicely.

Some other question I had. Ford kickdown, I read a couple people accept used the linkage from an Edelbrock carb with success. Is this truthful? I'd prefer to go along the factory kickdown rod, instead of the Lokar cable if possible. Thanks in advance.

An external inline fuel pump doesn't need a fuel accumulator. My custom fuel pump/filter assembly is mounted on my truck's fuel tank crossmember (near superlative of tank) like THIS. My suction line is very brusk.

I was concerned with dropping fuel pressure level under dispatch or turning, with a lower level of fuel in the tank. With how yous have yours setup, has that e'er been an issue?
You mention having the pump mounted well-nigh the top of the tank. I thought to mount below the lowest part of the tank (per instructions at least). The sender on my tank is on the bottom (circled in green). Keeping the line brusque might exist a piffling tough. How brusque of a line do y'all take? Thanks for the reply.

Never a problem. It's been that manner for many years.

You mention having the pump mounted virtually the top of the tank. I thought to mount beneath the lowest office of the tank (per instructions at least).

I've read that too, merely I've constitute information technology's more important to mount the fuel pump close to the pickup tube, and keep the suction line as short as possible.

The sender on my tank is on the bottom (circled in green). Keeping the line short might be a petty tough.

Yours should be fifty-fifty better, since the suction hose is already at the bottom of the tank.

How short of a line do you take?

    It's about a foot long.
